Meet The architect
Hi. I’m Carla.
For years, I believed I was simply “bad at being a person.”
Not in a dramatic sense—but in the quiet, persistent way where everyday life required vastly more effort than it seemed to for everyone else. I learned to overperform inside that reality. I built discipline where there was confusion, and achievement where there was friction.
What I didn’t know then was that I was navigating undiagnosed ADHD.
That gap didn’t just create struggle—it shaped how I viewed my worth. Like many who go undiagnosed, the cost wasn’t only functional; it was deeply psychological.
That experience now informs everything I build.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Autism Specialist, and Certified ADHD Specialist, my clinical focus centers on neurodivergence, identity development, and the direct relationship between nervous system regulation and daily functioning.
But my work extends beyond traditional therapy.
Before I had clinical language, I understood regulation through design—specifically through clothing. I recognized early on how sensory input, weight, structure, and physical presentation influenced confidence, emotional stability, and nervous system state. Clinical training simply provided the framework for what I had practiced intuitively.
That integration led to Diagnostic Fashion™—the concept that what you wear functions as both self-expression and non-invasive, daily regulation. It bridges clinical intervention with lived experience, offering an accessible, embodied approach to wellbeing.
While my work is deeply rooted in neurodivergent care, nervous system regulation is universal. You don't need a formal diagnosis to experience dysregulation, and care shouldn't begin only when someone reaches a crisis point.
Effective care should be built directly into how we live, dress, and move through the world every day.
